Our Story

Founded in 2020 amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Centre of Advancing Women (COAW) was established to address the urgent need for support services for refugee women in Victoria, Australia. Our mission is to provide comprehensive, community-based outreach and support, ensuring that no woman is left behind. We offer a range of services designed to foster connection, learning, and empowerment, helping women to overcome isolation and build a brighter future.

Our Impact

Our Impact Since our establishment, the Center of Advancing Women has helped hundreds of women reclaim their lives, rebuild their confidence, and find a path toward self-sufficiency.

Through our programs and partnerships, we have connected women with employment opportunities, provided access to essential services, and supported them in their personal and professional growth.
